Senza titolo (un metro di libri letti), 2019Moroccan gray stone, books, nylon26.5 × 100 × 19 cm (10 7⁄16 × 39 3⁄8 × 7 15⁄32 inches)
Fifty books lined up in the order they were read, in a 1-meter-long line, are arranged in two blocks of stone hollowed out and joined together in order to accommodate each book in a given space cut to size. Stone and books form two shapes, and one being the negative of the other, together complete a parallelepiped. The one-meter length of the piece established at the outset as a unit of length, in this case also becomes a unit of time, measuring the time needed to read the books in a 1-meter long line.
The books do not show the spine with the title, but the layering of their pages.
