Continuing this line of work the artist wonders what are the limits that the pictorial format offers us and its standardization. At the end of the 19th century, the French frame manufacturing industry dictated three types of proportions that responded to what was to be painted in the supposed space of the blank line: landscape, figure and marine. Some intrusive measurement units, since they functioned as a convention - to be able to understand each other - but at the same time "suggest" the subject of should be treated. In this sense Enric Farrés Duran has developed three series of works called precisely landscape, figure and marine. Starting from the tables of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the artist orders a carpenter to cut them with the appropriate proportions, but without specifying the frame to disregard, once again, the responsibility when creating a certain image.
